Craig Colombero was born and raised in Rochester, New York. Ever since he can remember, he's been taking things apart and putting them back together just to see how they worked (sometimes to the dismay of his parents). This early interest in how things work eventually led him to attend the Rochester Institute of Technology, where he received an Associates degree in Electrical Engineering. He then continued on to Purdue University, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering.
After graduating from Purdue, Craig was selected for Air Force Officer Training School at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX. He was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant. He served 5 years as an Aerospace Engineering Officer stationed at Hanscom AFB in Bedford, MA, where he worked with the Grumman Corporation on the design and development of a radar surveillance aircraft (Joint STARS). He was promoted to the rank of 1st Lieutenant and then Captain before he was honorably discharged in 1987.
For over 16 years, Craig was involved with the restoration and fabrication of stained glass windows. He completed many major restoration projects, including the stained glass windows and dome in the house, senate, and judicial chambers of the State Capitol building in Harrisburg, PA.
As owner of his own stained glass window company, Hayloft Stained Glass, Craig put his impeccable attention to detail into practice, sometimes having to keep track of thousands of individual pieces of glass for a single project.
Craig has been doing quality home repairs and remodeling all his life but officially founded Rocket Science Handyman Services in 2010. He has a long list of satisifed customers from PA, Tennessee and now Georgia.
